Bedframe

The bedframe and cabinets are crafted from a mixture of Sapele (aka African mahogany) and Sapele laminated plywood. The three circular arches sitting atop the cabinets support the top shelf while acting as bookends for the client's vinyl collection. Their wavey pattern is a design detail featured on objects across the apartment, including the air conditioner cover above the bed.

Desk

The desk body is also constructed from Sapele, with a dark green marble top and steel legs. The legs are fabricated in the shape of the clients initials. On the left, a unique clear-bottom drawer holds small items, and on the right a pull out tray is home to a sound mixer.

Wardrobe

Lacking closets in the bedroom, a wardrobe was fabricated for clothing storage underneath the dead space aside a spiral staircase leading to the living area. It's constructed of birch plywood painted blue and coated with polyurethane.

Mirror

At the top of the staircase we hung a large mirror that was waterjet cut into a halfmoon shape and mounted onto a wooden frame.

Waves

The wave pattern appears again in the kitchen and living area - wrapping around the base of the island and on boxes that hide the in-wall air conditioners. We also fabricated some built-in shelving for houseplants.
